Steam Room Fitness Hack

Life is about hacks. A hack is being able to get the same result with less time or energy.
The goal of training is to develop a strong capabale body.
Would you be intersting in learning how develop your body with less time and reps?

Well let me tell you about it.

Is the Steam Room workout.

If you go into 99.99% of most steam/saunas room, what you will find is most are empty. And if they aren’t empty, most folks are simply sitting down trying to survive the heat.

Now, you’ll get a nice sweat if you just sit in a Steam room for a couple of mins. But have you ever considered how strange it is that you’re sweating while seating?

That means your body is actively regulating itself to keep you from passing out from overheating. Which means your burning more energy/calories to maintain body temperature.

It was in that moment.

That I thought, what would happen if I worked out in the Steam room.

So I did.

I started with the basics. I would do a 20 min session and set a timer.

For every 5 mins, I would have to complete 20 push-ups, 20 air squats, and 20 crunches.

My great takeaway from this experiment was I would struggle to complete those 60 reps in 5 mins. Under normal circumstances, I could do all these activities in less
It was a mental battle of the highest order. The difficulty of each rep exponentially grew as time passed.

By the time I got to the 3rd set. I could only crank out about 5 reps at a time before I had to rest.
By the 4th set, I was just struggling to breathe and not pass out.

The added element of heat forces an added resistance for your mind and body to overcome.

Once again I remind you this is 5 mins to do a couple of push ups, sit ups, and crunches.


I’ve been practicing these steam room workouts for nearly 5 years now.
